After growing up in Texas and graduating with a BFA in film from SMU, Matt Earl Beesley immediately headed to “Hollywood” to become a filmmaker.

Matt Earl first found success under the tutelage of Clint Eastwood, where he functioned as his AD.

Wanting to get closer to directing, he transitioned to 2nd Unit, including the award-winning BRAVEHEART and WAYNE’S WORLD 2.

Soon thereafter, Matt Earl broke into the world of TV, producing/directing TV series, including REVENGE and CLOSE TO HOME.

In addition to being a producer/director, he has directed episodes of: MASTERS OF SEX, BOSCH, FALLING SKIES, LUCIFER, TRAINING DAY and DOUBT, just to name a few.

Matt Earl consistently and respectfully brings the showrunner’s vision to life from the page; he effortlessly collaborates with actors–ranging from the star to the beginner–all the while incorporating a strong cinematic touch throughout. In a nutshell, directing is simply his passion.
